These bliss balls or energy balls are the perfect treat when you are craving something sweet but want to stay on the healthy road. The little delights will keep everyone happy, since they are FREE of refined sugar, lactose and gluten and you can even get your kids involved to help make them. Now that Christmas time is just around the corner, I love making big batches and pack them into beautiful boxes or sackets, gifting all my family and friends. As a nice and thoughtful alternative to all the common sugar and butter loaded christmas cookies, I also like to press the mixture into little silicone moulds, little gugelhupfts (bundt cakes) in my case, coat them with raw chocolate powder and sprinkle with some edible gold stars, et voilà in no time you have the perfect little christmas gift. I often serve these little gugelhupfs and bliss balls with fresh fruit salad as a desert for one of the christmas dinners.
They are made with dates, which are still full of natural sugars, so make sure you are still eating these as a treat, but unlike refined sugar, dates are rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber . They contain oil, calcium, sulfur, iron, patassium phosphorous, manganese, copper and magnesium which are all supporting your health and wellbeing. They are also a great pre- or post workout snack as they provide muscle development.
Makes around 30 balls depending on size.
200g regular dates or approx. 20 Medjool dates
1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional for extra nutrients)
1 tablespoon hemp seeds (optional for extra nutrients)
3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch sea salt
2 tablespoons coconut oil – melted
Coating: desiccated coconut, chopped pistachios, freeze dried rasperries and raw chocoalte powder for rolling
1. Process the almonds and hazelnuts in a food processor until coarsly chopped, the mix should be slightly chunky to help hold the balls together. Place in a big bowl.
2. Blend dates with a little water until you have a smooth date paste.
3. Add the rest of the ingeredients, process again and add into the bowl with the chopped nuts and mix.
4. If the mixture is too dry add alittle water or some more coconut oil.
5. Once mix starts to come together, shape mixture into balls, or press into silicon moulds.
6. For bliss balls: Roll in the desiccated coconut, chopped pistachios, freezedried rasperries or raw chocoalte powder.
7. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to let them firm up.
For the gugelhupfs: once they are firm, take them out of the moulds, dip them into raw chocolate powder and sprinkle with gold stars.
8. Enjoy & indulge!
The gugelhupf silicone moulds are from Betty Bossy and can be ordererd HERE
as well as the edible gold star sprinkle which you find HERE.
No fall without pumpkins! This vegetable introduces its season like no other. As soon as pumpkins are ripe (you can recognize a ripe pumpkin by its hollow sound when knocking on it ) I know fall has definitely arrived. Fall without pumpkins is like Christmas without Christmas trees. But, did you know that pumpkins used to be a poor man’s food and were used to feed animals? Luckily it’s status has rised over time, because pumpkins not only taste delicious, they are well packed with a number of precious nourtrients such as potassium, calcium, zinc and vitamins A, C, D and E.
The diversity in species is incredibly rich, there are over 800 different types of pumpkins, some of them are edible some are decorative gourds.
Below I share my favorite two ways to cook and bake them.
As you can see on this picture, they also make perfect pouffs for your living room, as my daughter discovered when she was a baby.
When it comes to recipes I love keeping it simple because most often I don’t have a lot of time to spend hours in the kitchen. These two pumpkin ideas might not look like much, but they are absolutely delicious and very fast to make, so rather belonging to the category “healthy fast food”.
For oven baked pumpkins I prefer the little orange Hokkaido, which you can see on the picture above. Simply cut into pieces, leave the hard skin on ( it will soften when baked) sprinkle with some olive oil, herbs de provence and sea salt and backe it for about 30 minutes. Accompanied by a big green salad with apples, figs, grapes, avocados and nuts… et voilà, you have a perfect fall plate in no time.
But no fall without a pumkin soup. My favorite type for soups is the butternut. This long, pearshaped friend has just a few seeds and therefore offers a lot more pulp than its other colleagues. It has a slight buttery aroma and provides a rich, creamy consistency when cooked and blended.
The following recipe is so fast and simple, you need no more than 15 minutes.
BUTTERNUT PUMPKIN SOUP
♥ 1 butternut pumpkin, chopped and skin removed
♥ 1 tsp. coconut oil
♥ fresh ginger, diced
♥ 1/2 onion, diced
♥ 1-2 clove of garlic diced
♥ 3-4 cups of water
♥ coconut milk
♥ salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste (lime juice optional)
1. Place coconut oil in a large pot and sauté onion, garlic and ginger
2. Add chopped pumpkin and staranis and cover with water
3. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minute
4. Blend until smooth
5. Add coconut milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg and serve.
The pumpkin brings the sweetness, the coconut milk the creaminess and if you like it a little more fresh, add a dash of lime juice at the end.
Another little extra I discovered recently is to add a piece of fresh rosemarry on top. It serves beautifully for decorative purposes but at the same time it’s aroma will give an extra experience for your tastebudds, blending in perfectly with the earthy taste of the pumpkin.
What else do you need for a cozy fall day? Maybe a pair of warm socks, a cup of tea and lots of candles will make it even more perfect . Enjoy! ♥
Have a wonderful day, as always I am happy to read your comments, please share your thoughts and feedbacks below.
There are things in my yoga practice I struggle with tremendously. Padasana or Lotus Pose is one of them. I have very little outward rotation in my right hip, which makes it seem almost impossible to get into this pose. Throughout my whole dancer’s life I have worked “hard”on my hip rotation. In ballet everything is about “turning out” and “en dehors”, and believe me, I still keep dreaming about how easy life could be with widely open hips. I practise with and for my body every day, but there are things my body just won’t do. For a dancer I have a very difficult body, not ideal at all. There were many times when I asked myself, why did my soul have to choode such a difficult body to become a dancer? It became even more “difficult “in 2008 when I almost lost my left foot.
Back then I caught a really serious infection on my left foot, whilst traveling in Nepal. Long story short, this infection nearly could have killed my foot, or even leg. Luckily surgery came at the right time, saving my foot early enough from the rapid succession that this infection could have caused. Now a big scarve on the back of my left foot and one underneath my ankle joint reminds me day by day of the second chance life gave me to dance, to move and to walk FREELY. Before this happened, I thought I would die if I can’t dance. But the experience in the wheelchair made me realize and be present with all the possible ways we can be in and with our body. This was a turning point for me.
Yoga & Ballet is not easy for me. Some things my body can do easily, but many of the things require lots of practise, time and devotion. I practise as much as I possibly can. I make myself connect with my body every day, listen to it, be present with it, read it’s signs, breath with it, give it the space and nourishment that it requires, everything I can to continue a loving relationship with it. Even when I don’t feel like practising, I make myself do it, because I know how good I will feel and how happy my body will be, after we have spent some time together. That’s what keeps me do it, every damn day. Some days it feels light and easy to move, some days it’s hard. On good days I am so grateful for the experience with my left foot and that I still have a this foot, but I have bad days, where I just want my old flexible foot back, which is still very stiff and immobile from the scarve.
But some days magical things happen like today when I managed to get into the Lotus pose, these moments just suddenly happen. Other people just plop into the Lotus pose while they are sleeping, I need lots of stretching before I can even bring my left leg up, and I need a strap to do it. My alignment is far from perfect, because of the asymmetry of my hip flexors, but it felt so good to finally sit in this pose. I had to laugh out laud, just out of pure relief, releasing all of that tension that was sitting in my hips and upper legs.
Moments like this are such a great reminder that we are always on the journey, always learning, always growing and evolving, both on the mat and in life. And on some days things can happen, that we never thought could be possible.
Never give up, just keep doing it. Breathe through the painful moments, and never compare yourself to others. Get inspired by those who are a step ahead, but never give up because you are not where they are. Go from where you are today, with what you have today and start with that, gently, lovingly and mindfully. Keep your vision and the dream that sits in YOUR heart, not that of other people.
This is why I practice day by day. Open your heart and everything will unfold when the time is right. Everything you do is important and valuable for your growth, on and off the mat, even in the difficult moments.
And here is a little dance in my little Lotus Pose, early in the morning, raw and real, with unbrushed hair.
Namaste, have a wonderful day, as always I am happy to read your comments and feedback!
I loooove watermelons. Now that they are in season I try to drink it’s juice almost every morning. It is so refreshing and hydrating, since watermelon is over 90% water. I like to blend it with fresh mint and some lime juice, for a perfect clean drink for hot summer days. Besides being super delicious and sweet like candy, watermelon has so many health benefits, that it would be a pity not to drink or eat from this beauty. I gathered a short list of the most known benefits, bt if you browse the net, you can find endless resources and information.
How watermelon can add to your health and well-being
Immune Support: watermelon is loaded with electrolytes and vitamin C which both support the stability of your immune system; and it helps decrease the risk of certain cancers.
Watermelon is rich in lycopene, which is known for preventing plaque build up in blood vessels.
Anti-inflammatory & Antioxidant support: it feeds and nourishes the skin, preventing wrinkles and keeping the skin younger.
Wound healing & prevents cell damage
Watermelon protects the skin from sunburn (reduces risk of sunburn by 40%)
Promotes weight loss: remember watermelon is over 90 % water
Watermelon is an excellent diuretic and is extremely beneficial to the kidneys.
Watermelon helps your cardiovascular & bone health
Muscle & nerve support
Watermelon is alkaline-forming
Watermelon improves eye health
Watermelon is also known as ‘Natures Viagra’. The arginine produced by eating watermelon relaxes the blood vessels, which is the same basic concept of how Viagra works. The rind of the watermelon contains zinc, which also works to fight impotency.
You can either blend your watermelon or juice it, including some of the rind. The rind is full of many of the beneficial nutrients detailed above so it’s worth including in juicing. You won’t taste it in your watermelon juice since the red, fruity center is so sweet. If you want to juice it and add the rind, make sure you buy an organic watermelon.
For juicing start to wash and scrub the outside of the watermelon you want to use for juicing with a scrubbing brush and some apple cider vinegar to remove waxes and sprays. Cut off a big piece of the watermelon, depending how much you juice you want to make, and chop it up into strips that fit your juicer, including the green skin and rind. Then simply juice everything. Voilà!
If you want to blend it, simply add the red center to your belnder and blend together with some fresh mint leaves and lime juice. Sometimes I combine it with cucumber for a super hydrating combo. On hot summer days I like to add lots ice cubes at the end.
For best taste and the most health benefits drink your watermelon juice immediately.
ENJOY the sweetness and freshness, your body will thank you with lots of energy!
Have a wonderful day,
as always I am happy to read your comments and feedback!
Rasperry-Vanilla-Coconut-Chia Popsicles with Raw Chocolate Cover
This weekend we tried and tested a very delicious and super healthy popsicle recipe: Rasperry-Vanilla-Coconut-Chia Popsicles with Raw Chocolate Cover. As you know I am always on the lookout for healthy recipes that are simple to make with and for my whole family. So I was delighted when I found this recipe, as a healthy “ice cream” alternative and immediately tried and tested it with my girls. The credit for this recipe goes to secretsquirrelfood, a food blog I discovered through Instagram. Thank you secretsquirrelfoodfor the inspiration! Check out her blog, it’s gorgeous.
These popsicles are super easy and fast to make, and as you can see below, not only I couldn’t wait to have my first bite, but also my kids absolutely LOVE them! The dark chocolate cover gives you this “Magnum” Ice Cream feeling. The filling is made with Chia seeds. These tiny black seeds that natively grow in South America, are making a huge comeback as a modern-day superfood. They used to be an important food for the Aztecs and Mayans back in the days, known for their ability to provide sustainable energy. “Chia” is the ancient Mayan word for “strength.” Being among the healthiest foods on the planet, they have become so popular that they are now consumed by health conscious people all over the world. Chia seeds are loaded with nutrients and antioxidants, that can have important benefits for your body and brain. They are an excellent source of essential fatty acids, having more omega -3 than, for example, salmon, but with very few calories. Chia is also a complete protein and a great source of calcium, potassium, and fiber. They can help regulate blood sugar, provide long-lasting energy and curb your appetite. Chia seeds are very easy to incorporate into your diet. Since the seeds themselves taste very neutral, you can basically add them to everything. Add them to your smoothies & juices, müesli, yoghurt, bread, salads, cakes, muffins, and even to your icecreams and…popsticles ( always a great way to sneak them into your kid’s diet).
These chia popsicles are the perfect healthy treat for hot summer days. They will satisfy your sweet cravings, and they are absolutely family proof! (Which means, besides myself also my kids and my husband love them. The images below are the best proof!)
Makes 4-5 Popsicles
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 cup coconut milk
2 teaspoons raw sweetener of your choice ( maple syrup, honey, raw agave syrup, coconut nectar, date syrup, stevia…)
¼ teaspoon vanilla bean
¾ cup frozen raspberries, chopped into small pieces
Raw Chocolate Cover
½ cup raw cacao butter
⅓ cup raw cacao powder
2 tablespoons raw sweetener of your choice (see above)
pinch of himalayan salt
pinch of Vanilla
1. Combine all ingredients for the popsicle filling into a bowl, mix well and place in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
2. Once the Chia seeds have absorbed all the liquid and have transformed into a pudding, stir the mixture again, until you get a smooth, creamy consistency.
3. Pour the filling into popsicle moulds, or silicone moulds of any shape and put them into the freezer for an hour.
4. Once the filling is solid, but still soft enough, put the wooden sticks into the middle of the forms, and put them back into the freezer until they are completely frozen.
5. For the raw chocolate cover, cut the raw cacao butter into small pieces and place into a small bowl.
6. Slowly melt the raw cacao butter over low heat by using a bain-marie or a double boiler. Be careful to do this over low heat not more than 42 ° C to avoid overheating, which will destroy all the living enzymes in the raw ingredients.
7. Once cacao butter is melted, add sweetener of your choice , raw cacao powder and if you like a pinch of Vanilla and Himalayan salt.
8. Stir the mixture with a fork until it is well combined and smooth.
9. Dip the popsicles into the melted raw chocolate mixture, help with a spoon to drizzle over every part, and decorate with freeze-dried or frozen raspberries. The chocolate cover will harden immediately from the cold of the frozen inside.
10. Enjoy straight away, or put them back into the freezer and safe for later (…which I find really hard:-))

Oh dear, how the time has flown, it’s been a little while since you heard from me.
I haven’t forgotten about you dear, I am just taking a little time off from writing on the blog and concentrating more on coaching, moving and creating. A lot is shifting and transforming behind the scenes.
* My website is going through a full transformation and requires lots of time and attention, I can’t wait to share more with you soon.
* I’m coaching & teaching more than ever before, I love my work and I have amazing clients.
* I’ve decided to move forward with my Yoga teaching and take it to the next level. I am now in the process to certify in a method that combines energy work/ energy reading with Yoga & Meditation, and enables me to support my clients in their healing and growing on an even deeper, energetic level.
* I’ve had a wonderful Yoga & Soul Art Workshop in March, since it was such deep, inward, transformational work, I totaly forgot to take pictures.
If you are in Switzerland, I highly recommend you come to the next one, happening May 2nd- spaces are starting to fill up, so please register soon.
* I am also taking more time off the blog because I desire to spend as much time as possible with my girls.
* And, as I told you earlier this year, it is my intention for this year, to devote much more time to my personal self-care practise.
I know that I can only hold space for others and be an uplifter, if I take exquisite self-care for myself.
What I teach and pray, I truly live for myself, first and foremost.
HOW TO FULLY LOVE YOURSELF
I am always seeking to learn new methods and ways to support you on your journey to becoming fully who you truly are. I am devoted to serve you in any and every way I can, to support you in:
creating a life you love,
doing what you love and loving what you do
finding freedom and harmony in your Body, Mind and Soul
and more than anything guide you to fully love YOURSELF! So you can just BE a little more!
From all the things we need to learn, this is probably the most important lesson.
Today I invite you to close you eyes and simply say : ” THANK YOU (YOUR NAME) “
Say it out loud as often as you can. Then give yourself a big hug!
How does it feel to give yourself a big hug and say THANK YOU? Is it akward? Does it feel silly? Does it feel nice? Does it feel very needed?
How does it feel to really, and wholeheartedly thank yourself for being who you trully are? I remember when I thanked myself for the first time, it felt really akward, I realized, how used I was to subconsciously have negative self talks with myself.
Say out loud (or write down) all the things that you are thankful for in your life, all the things that you have achieved and manifested in your life. (Eg. I LOVE my work, I LOVE my home, I LOVE my children, I LOVE my husband, I LOVE my eyes, I LOVE my sense for…)
Practise gratitude whenever you feel a little off, unbalanced, overwhelmed, frustrated or sad and whenever you feel yourself going down the spiral with negative self talk, practise gratitude and change your perspective. Open up to let LOVE rule your day. Expect nothing-Appreciate everything! You will immediately feel a shift in how you feel.
Or how about writing yourself a love letter? You’ ll be suprised how much there is within you, which you have never told yourself, but should be said. This exercise is so healing!
If you want create a the life you desire, rather than dreaming about it, and “someday-ing” about it, you need to start with nourishing yourself on all levels, body-mind and soul. Nourish yourself with lots of love.
I am inspired to create that for myself every day, and I am happy to inspire others to do the same.

Not so sure if I am the right coach and mentor for you?
I would absolutely love to hear from you and find out how I can best support you.
One of my wonderful clients Fleur, created a little video testimonial where she talks about her experience of our private coaching adventure.
The wonderful thing is that she moved from the Netherlands to Equador with her whole family, to live in one of the most exotic places. She took her whole family to this sacred place, to live the life they desired to live- and lucky me, I got to coach her from Switzerland through SKYPE! So every Tuesday afternoon, my office was filled with beautiful exotic bird sounds, and while I was covered in shawls and multiple layers of jumpers to keep me warm, with the heating full on and still freezing, Fleur showed up to our session in her light summer dresses. That’s how the magic of today’s technology make this experience and service so easy and accessible from wherever you are in the world.
I would love to support you and guide you back home to yourself, to your soul and your purpose.
All of my clients have come with very different desires and challenges. They have created their own brand, started their websites, birthed their first products, released stubborn health issues, healed their energy body through discovering their chakras, got back in shape and lost weight, started with new hobbies, unleashed their creativity and inner artist, transformed their lifestyle, let go of feelings that blocked them and rediscovered clarity, passion, freedom and balance.
I am amazed by all their achievements and how much transformation could happen in such a short time, once they said YES! to their dreams.
And if you intuitively feel a YES! too- I would love to chat with you!
The wonderful news is that you already have what you need inside you. I know it sounds simple, and it really is. I am not here to ‘fix’ you and you are not broken. It’s just a matter of removing what stands in the way of you expressing your brilliance, your uniqueness, and your light. The best version of yourself is just hiding undearneath your own worries, self-doubts, old programming, and limiting beliefs.
One of the intentions I set for myself this year was to let go of the overly busy lifestyle, and instead slow down as much as possible and practise more self care. While 2014 was all about working hard, velocity, not getting enough rest and sleep, I started 2015 with a new approach. Effortless and Graceful are two of my keywords for this year. I want to take much more time to nurture and pamper myself, with more time to relax and let go and do more of the things that nourish my body-mind and soul.
So in the future I will keep sharing all the things and practises that help me deepen my body-mind-soul connection and my hope is that you will get a spark of inspiration and start to incorporate some of the practises in your daily life.
So today I will share how ginger is helping me to stay warm during these cold winter days and I will also be sharing some simple yoga stretches, which I started to include in my nighttime habits. This simple shift has completely changed the way I fall asleep, whenever I do the stretches I share below I sleep like a baby.
GINGER AND IT’S MANY BENEFITS
I have been drinking a lot of hot ginger water, ginger tea or smoothies with ginger during winter. On days when I am working on my desk and whenever I sit a lot, I tend to feel cold very quickly. Since my body is used to constantly move, and that’s how it produces heat, I am sensitive to cold and easily freezing when I am not moving. Hot ginger water is a great way for me to heat up the body from the inside, on days when I am not able to move my body that much. I cut a nice junk of ginger root into little pieces and pour boiling water over it. I often add an organic lime, which gives the water that wonderful zesty aroma and taste. I let the hot water sit for about 10 minutes and then drink it throughout the day. You can try out different variations and replace the limes with grapefruits, oranges or lemons. Just make sure you use organic, untreated fruits, since you don’t want to drink the pesticides. Also adding a little honey or your favorite choice of natural sweetener can be an option. Try it out and let me know what you like most.
Not only does ginger help you stay warm. Some of the many other bebefits of ginger are:
Detoxifies the body
Fights the cold and flue
Relieves Asthma Symptoms
Releases muscle pain and sore muscles after exercise
Helps ease migraines
Improves Blood Sugar Regulation
Menstrual Cramp Remedy
Helps with morning sickness during pregnancy
Reduces motion sickness and nausea
Protects against Alzheimer
Blocks acid from heatburns
Improves your breath
With so many health benefits and since it’s so easy to make, it makes sense to start adding ginger to your daily habits and some of your dishes.
Here is one of my favorite winter-smoothie recipe, which is also made with ginger.
This smoothie will give you an instant boost, helps with digestion because of the diferent citric fruits, at the same time it’s warming from the ginger. It is so delicious! Press 2 grapefruits and 3-4 oranges. Cut 1/2 pineapple into pieces. Put everything into a high speed blender and add a piece of ginger (size of ginger depends on how hot you like it) Mix and blend everything on high speed till it’s smooth and creamy. Enjoy right away!
EVENING STRETCHES FOR DEEP RELAXATION
Another practise I have been starting again this year is stretching before I go to bed. These specific stretches are relaxing yet invigorating and help to reduce stiffness that has been built up during the day in the areas of the spine, hips, shoulders, legs and neck. At the same time these stretches massage and nourish the inner organs, preparing them to fulfill their proper function during sleep.
I created little snapshots from a video I did on my full evening stretch sequence. Since the images are “cutouts” from the video, they are not the clearest fotos. Also the lighting wasn’t the best, but I wanted to create something for you, so that you can try out the stretches for yourself. I don’t always have the time to do the full sequence. When I feel very tired I just do a few of them, and sometimes I just don’t feel like stretching at all. But the difference in the quality of my sleep when I do the stretches is remarkable. I cuddle into the bed, feeling totally relaxed and comfortable in my own skin, and fall asleep very easily. Try them out, or some of them taht feel good. Remember this is a practice and not about prefection. If the poses look or feel too difficult for you, just do what you can from where you are right now. this is not about how it looks like but how it feels like.
These stretches help to warm up and massage the whole body and realease stiffness, especially in the back, hips, neck and shoulder area.
Part 2: Spine Extentions, Forward Bends and Twists
These forward bends and twists help to calm down the nervous system and create space in the spine and the hamstrings/back of the legs
(Variation with bent leg for beginners, using a strap or towel)
Part 3: Hip openers for release and relaxation
The hips are the place in the body where a lot of emations are stored. So it makes sense to stretch this area for the night to support release and deep relaxation, letting go of emotional discomfort.
Part 4: Inversions
The upside down poses of the shoulder stand and plough, increase circulation, they massage and nourish the internal organs, and the proper function of the endocrine system
(Relax in Shavasana as long as you like)
And this is a little behind the scenes, showing what usually happens during my practise: She always wants to do her little feat (“Kunststückli”)

Have a wonderful week,
as always I am happy to read your comments and feedback!
On January 1st we celebrated our daughter’s 5 th birtday. One of the gifts she got from her godfather was a package of cress seads. In different cultures it is a tradition to grow cress for the new year, as a symbolic act to celebrate new beginnings. I thought it is a wonderful ritual to do with the whole family, one that I would like to repeat every year. To plant the seeds for new dreams and watch them grow! Children love to watch the growing process, how the seeds grow into sprouts, and in the end we can even eat them. We put a little Mikey Mouse figure in the middle of the plate, Mikey Mouse’ s trees grew more and more until one day he dispeared in the jungle.
Watching the seeds grow reminded me of the time it takes for our dreams to grow. With every desire you have, you are already given the seed to create its manifestation. Whatever you want to create, is already within you, and it’s only a matter of time, patience, trust and believe until you bring it into form and reality. It takes time! It takes the time for the seed to mature. It takes time for the sprout to grow into a certain direction. It takes time to have the experince of growing itself. So often we get dicouraged when things don’t happen the way we wished for, but we forget that this is just part of the growing process. In these moments we need to remember that we are still in the process of growing that dream. Don’t put a deadline on your dreams, instead trust that it’s going to happen when the sprout has grown enough. In the meantime you need to water it and nurture it, so it can continue to grow. In other words, keep vizualising your desire and pretend it already happened until it’s real. Meditate on what you want to manifest as often as possible. Write it into your journal, create a vison board, create a collage of images associated with your desires and hang it up somewhere where you can see it all the time. That way you are reprogramming your subconscious mind. I love to create folders on Pinterest to connect with my desires. You can follow my Pinterst boards here.
The green sprouds also inspired me to talk a little about the COLOR GREEN, it’s meaning and how this color benefits you. As always I am trying to capture the theme through images of the little things and moments in my life. I felt a true boost of energy from including more green in my life during these grey winter days.
MEANING OF THE COLOR GREEN:
The color green stands for the color of balance, harmony, hope, vitality, healing, stability, growth, spring, renewal and nature. It helps to renew and restore depleted energy. If we look at it from a color psychology perspective, it is the great balancer of the heart and the emotions. It creates equilibrium between the head and the heart.
Green is connected to the Heart Chakra. Chakras are energy centers and vortexes throughout our body. They manage the flow of our energy for different aspects of our life, such as our emotional life, physical health, relationship dynamics, career and success, creative flow, spiritual connection, and our overall sense of wellbeing.
THE HEART CHAKRA
The Heart Chakra which is located in the center of our chest holds the energetics and frequency of love. If the Heart Chakra is open and healthy it provides the ability to give, share and receive love, to nurture ourselves and others unconditionally. The heart Chakra loves to contribute to society. If I would describe the heart Chakra as a person it would be a charity worker, a good parent, a helpful neighbor, or a good host. It is generous and loves to share. The heart Chakra is associated with the color green, the Heart Chakra and Nature/Mother Earth are clearly connected. For the body’s ecosystem it ‘s the lungs, the breath, the respiratory system that provides circulation within our body, it renews and restores depleted energy and brings nourishment, movement, regeneration and supports the blood to be strong, healthy and flowing. The lungs of mother Earth are the trees, the jungle, the rainforest and its veins are the river streams. It is the sanctuary far off from the stresses of modern living, restoring us back to a sense of well being. This Chakra also relates to prosperity and abundance, finance and material wealth. The Heart Chakra is the home-base of our spirit, because it feels home in the high frequency of love. To heal or maintain the health of the Heart Chakra it is crucial to find and do the things we love and spend as much time with these things as possible. Things that open our heart, so that gradually our whole life and every aspect in our life is an expression of love.
ACTIVITIES THAT SUPPORT THE HEALTH OF YOUR HEART CHAKRA:
Spending time in nature, loving, expressing gratitude, giving, volunteering, abundantly receiving, nurturing, caring for another, caring for yourself, intimacy, romance. Include as much greens as possible in your diet. Indulge in green smoothies and green juices made from fresh, raw fruits and green leafy vegatables. The greens help you alkalize your body and and are packed full of nutrients.
HOW THE COLOR GREEN BENEFITS YOU:
Wearing, meditating on, or surrounding yourself with this color opens the heart, connects you to your true nature and rejuvenates the spirit. It helps you relax, feel peaceful and creates a sense of stability, healing and expansion.
I hope this post inspires you to freshen up your life with some greens to give these grey winter days (if you live in the northern hemisphere) a kick, or maybe it motivates you to plant a seed for a new dream. Whatever that dream might be for you. Whether it’s finding and creating a new home, meeting your soul mate, growing a family, transforming your health, body and wellbeing, finding your dream job, bringing a heart-felt project to life, creating a business you love, manifesting new levels of success, finding love, passion, purpose and balance, whathever that dream of yours is, I hope you keep nurturing and following it.
And if along the way you feel stuck, overwhelmed, confused and alone and long for guidance and support on your journey, but you don’t know where to start, let’ s have a chat and see how I can best serve you. I am here to hold your hand and guide you to get out of confusion and overwhlem and into clarity and inspired action.
Have a wonderful week,
as always I am happy to read your comments and feedback!
Do you sometimes feel guilty about taking time, space, energy and care just for yourself? Isn’t it funny that most people do?
Do you easily feel and express your desires, dreams and what makes you feel good? In the midst of the day to day life it’s so easy to loose connection to this part of us: soul, spirit, inner self, essence or higher self, however you like to call it. The part within that holds the key to our true potential and living a fulfilled life. If we DON’T open up to connect with this aspect of our being, we are rejecting our treasure of truth and miss out an eternal source of power, wisdom, creativty and answers to our life’s questions. What happens as a consequence of not connecting with that inner self is, that we start to be unknowingly motivated by obligations, outside expectations, guilt, fear, pressure and scarcity.
I am curious, and I would like to know from you: what are the practises, rituals and activities you love to do to stay connected with soul, especially in your busy everyday life? And when do you usually receive most clarity, inspiration and answers to your questions? Below I made a list of my 20 favorite ways to stay connected. I get the best ideas, creative downloads and receive most clarity when I either connect with my body through movement or slow down, get quite and relax into “receiving mode”. Here aremy most effective and fastest ways to clear my over-critical and analizing mind and receive clarity. I would be so happy if you share your list below in the comment section.

“If I had only two words to describe my time with Christina they would be, Bliss & Delight! Her presence is so refreshing and soothing. Immediately, upon beginning our session my worries melted away, and her incredibly natural and healing presence caused me to tingle from head to toe. Her intuitive insights were powerful, and with what seemed like very little effort she was able to reflect back to me the places I was stuck, and share some practical solutions for moving into a more self-nurturing and supportive lifestyle. I am so grateful for her generous spirit, abundance heart, and her magical voice that seemed to repair my soul. Thank you, Christina!” Thalia Barrett, USA, www.thaliathemuse.com
“My heart expanded and beats in excitement from the clarity that arrived from my session with Christina. As I continue on my path in life, constantly pulled towards my expanding dreams, there are people that I meet, courses, sessions that I am naturally drawn to because they resonate with the energy of where I am and what I need to take the next step. Christina’s call was exactly that. Her energy is pure, her clarity undeniable, and the flowing, joy-filled nature of the call makes the journey of exploring the next step so enjoyable while at the same time so clear. The interactive nature of it is perfect. Beyond writing down the elements of the exercises you’ll find you’ll want to write down the gems of wisdom that come through during the call in the margin!
I highly recommend a session with Christina to help you move closer to the life that you dream of as well. There are people who are here at this time to help guide the way, and help illuminate your own light; Christina is one of those people and I’m honoured to have aligned paths with her and her guidance.” Yoshi Arima, Canada, www.heartofyoshi.com
“I connected with Christina Szegedi during an extremely chaotic situation in my life. First of all she helped me to ground myself in the beginning of the session so that we could move on in a clear way. Then she gave me some concrete advice in how I could deal with my situation energetically which was very helpful for me. Christina also guided me through a visualization that feels life changing for me. After my session with Christina I dealt with my situation in an empowered way which was very liberating for me. I love Christina’s creative expression and I find it very inspiring for my own creative expression. Being guided by Christina is like being in her warm embrace of her Unique Creativity, Strong Intuition and Spiritual Wisdom. I strongly recommend Christina Szegedi to whoever feels drawn to her. She has a Calm, Creative and Light way of dealing even with difficult issues. ” Cintra Krän, Sweden

A common believe that keeps showing up in my life and that I witness when I work with clients is the thought “I am not ready yet!”. You have this brilliant idea that lights a spark within you, opens your heart. But as soon as you are called to turn this idea into action and transform it into reality, you hold back and persuade yourself: “I am not ready yet!“ When life offers you new opportunities and you feel you’re not ready yet, most of the time it’s your own resistance that makes you feel “you’re not ready yet” and this resistance is triggered by fear. Fear wants to protect you and has it’s reason to show up, but fear may, if not looked at closely, be the biggest destroyer of your creative dreams. I have found that I am often faced with three different forms of fear anytime before taking new steps, creative adventures or decisions in my life.
3 common forms of fear that love to destroy brilliant ideas:
1. Fear of judgment: This is a big one for me. “What will others think and how will they judge me if I will do this?” Sometimes it’s just difficult to step out of the image, character or identity you’ve been living in. Everyone expects something in particular from everyone else, this happens naturally with family, neighbours, work colleagues, and our best friends. You are faced with this particular fear because you expect that others are going to be disappointed if you don’t act, be or do the same as usual. Deep down you have formed the believe, that if you fail to meet these expectations you won’t be loved anymore. Most often, your mind doesn’t go further than that. But what about the believe that these people, in contrast, could support you in your growth if you’d just communicate your true desires?
2. Fear of the unknown: Cracking your comfort zone and stepping out into the unknown asks for bravery. Most people are not willing to step out of their comfort zone, because it feels safe to stay in there. Think about a situation when you had to change something but were not able to get on. Even if you didn’t feel happy in this zone, you could at least survive. Even more, you might have blamed yourself for being wrong and irresponsible when thinking there is more in life. Right here, we are asked to trust and believe that life is supporting us, particularly if we stir towards our heart’s desires. It’s as though jumping from a cliff and while free falling, you are given wings to fly.
3. Fear of taking the first step:“I need more time to think it over”, ” I need to organize this step first”, “I am not there yet”, “I first need to learn and practise”, “I want to be well prepared for this next step”. It’s great to be prepared before taking action. As long as this preparation phase doesn’t last forever. You could think about new ideas for a lifetime, if you don’t take action at some point . There is always something you could optimize, there is always something you should get better in, there will always be others who know more than you do… The point is that you sometimes need to shut down your ego, work through all the resistance and start before you’re ready. By just doing it, life will show you what works, what needs to be improved, where to go next, and most importantly, it will allow you to gain experience. Studies show that 90% of the things we worry about never come true.
Currently, I am going through many “I am not ready yet” fears. Working with my inner shadow (you can read all about it in last week’s post here) has helped me to become more conscious of these otherwise subconscious mechanisms. I can see now how strong they are in holding me back from living my full potential. Fear creeps up every time I create something new to share with a large audience: a blog post, a video, my dance, artwork, new offers, whenever I feel called to show a new part of myself. Literally, everytime before I want to take another step towards realizing my dreams. I am scared, often terrified, and my natural tendency would be to step back and hide when fear shows up. But I have learnt to meet my fears, listen to them, give them room and a form to be recognized. Befriending them results in wholeness, fullfillment and many new, unexpected possibilities. Fear, like every other e-motion (energy in motion) shows up for a reason and wants to send us a message. If we respect, feel and understand it’s message, our fear can teach us a lot about the way we go through life and we can learn how to use them as a driving force to move forward in life – instead of blocking or paralyzing us.
How can we move forward in a sane and conscious way?
1.Take Baby Steps
Living a happy, creative and fulfilled life, starts with DOING the things that make you happy, creative and fulfilled. Instead of thinking large and that you would have to turn your whole life upside down to create change, you can start to train yourself to think in baby steps. Gently, small, and one step at the time, so gently that you can start before you think you are 100% ready. Just image how far you could get in one year if you took one baby step a day into the direction of your dream.
2. Breath through your fear
Fritz Perls, founder of Gestalt therapy, says:
“fear is excitement without the breath”
So vice versa this means that the best thing you can do when you feel fear is to breath into your fear. Try it out next time you feel fear:
Feel the fear – face it – give it room, sit with it, embrace it and breathe through it. Be brave and believe in yourself. Take one step forward. Just one baby step at the time . Show others who you truly are, so they can support you in becoming more of who you truly are. And remember to start before you’re ready!
I found this wonderful video on youtube last week, which is a beautiful expression of working through the fear. May it inspire you!

I have been grappling with an issue in my business that held me in a stuck place. With Christina’s warm and sensible guidance, a new perspective emerged that showed me how to structure my path going forward. Christina has the amazing intuitive ability of opening me up to listening to my heart, in a way that my mind could comprehend. I received such clarity from Christina. After our session I received the painting which touched me so deeply. The symbolism, the colors and the meaning of the painting are so aligned with my highest vision of myself. “I feel vibrant… I feel my soul has been visited! Christina captured me with the first question and now I feel surrounded by a fresh glow of clarity. I am excited by the new vivid visualizations that she walked me through, and plan to enjoy daily. Christina’s intuitive skills and creative sensibilities tuned into my immediate needs. This sent me on an inner adventure, which animated a spirited connection to my highest self. The questions asked and guidance given materialized a new level to my dreams. My whole self was addressed: my heart and soul’s desires, my websites, and marketing. Relaxing in the after-glow of this session, I created a long list of the action-steps and visions brought to life during this hour of intuitive guidance. Allowing my mind to travel with this action list, new ideas came to life, which will fulfill my dreams while conducting business. I was thrilled with the intimate connection I felt, and the revitalized sparkling energy I feel as a result. Thank you so much Christina for this cherished one on one communication. This guided time together has achieved significant awakenings due to your loving and creative intuitive and business skills.” Joan Marie, joanmarieartist.com
